Mrs. Katherine Inglefield nee Skinner (Mrs. G.R. Inglefield) was a member of the 2nd Port of Spain Girl Guide Unit in 1938 and moved up to become a Patrol Leader.

1941    Was a first class Guide who represented Trinidad and Tobago at a Western Hemisphere Camp in the USA where she received the Juliet Low Memorial Award.

The Western Hemisphere camp was held at Camp Bonnie Brae, Massachusetts where she met Ms. Eleanor Roosevelt.  Her Guiding career was full and exciting and she received many Awards for her efforts.

1974    Appointed President of Girl Guides Association of Trinidad and Tobago to succeed Lady Dos Santos and gave innumerable assistance to the 60th Anniversary Camp held in Tobago.

1975    Represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 22nd World Conference of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts at University of Sussex, U.K.

1977    Attended 40th Convention of Girl Scouts in Washington USA and the Guide Conference in Brazil.

1978    Represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 23rd World Conference in Tehera, Iran

1980    Received the Samaan Gold Award for outstanding service in strengthening the Movement

1982    Chairman, Fund Raising Committee

The Training she received in Girl Guiding prepared her for community service which she gave to other organizations as well.

Mrs. Inglefield served on a number of Committees at Guide and other community groups working for the growth and development of the youths of this Nation.

During her term of office as President she saw the change of status of the country from Independence to Republic.  She piloted the change of The Promise of the Movement and gave direction to the dedication and commitment of the Movement keeping with the new status of the country.
