Farewell JACKIE WESTERN
It with great sadness we advise the death of Jackie Western, mother of our President Tanya Western, and a stalwart support and past Guider, Council Member, Friend of the Girl Guides and Equipment Centre Chair of the Girl Guides Association of Trinidad and Tobago who died on 31st July 2025. the Funeral will be held on Tuesday 5th August 2025 at 10am at St Michael and All Angels Church on the Wendy Fitzwilliam Blvd in Diamond Vale.

​World Thinking Day-HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The idea for a special day each year on which Girl Guide/Girl Scouts around the world think of each other originated at the 4th International Conference held in the USA in 1926. The date chosen for Thinking Day was 22 February, the joint birthdays of the Founder, Lord Baden-Powell and the World Chief Guide, Olave, Lady Baden-Powell.
